In following with business practices of the original 1931 Augusta Amusements organization the idea recently surfaced of staging a big band that would consist predominately of local musicians. Augusta’s heritage has been built by famed musicians such as James Brown, Terri Gibbs, Josh and Charles Kelley, Dave Heywood, Brenda Lee, Arthur Lee Simpkins, Jessye Norman and countless others that were residents of our community.
